The only biography on Huggins, from material collected by Lady Huggins, continued by John Montefiore, completed by Mills and Brooke. This scarce account of Huggins' life describes his more intimate and personal spheres at home and in his laboratory. Sir William Huggins,(1824-1910), astronomer. Huggins was a pioneer in the field of stellar and nebular spectography; his research in solar phenomena often overlooked. Huggins was one of the first twelve individuals awarded the prestigious Order of Merit by Edward VII in 1902. [DNB] $150
